Founded in 1987 by Gary and Sharon Hodson, G&H Fencing has built a strong reputation across the Midlands as an experienced and trusted fencing contractor. Over almost four decades, the business has delivered fencing solutions for commercial, industrial and domestic clients, with expertise spanning welded mesh fencing, palisade fencing, railings, site hoardings, timber fencing, gates, games area fencing and shelters.
With a long-standing presence in the Midlands, much of our work has been delivered across Birmingham and the surrounding areas, supporting clients with reliable, professional fencing solutions for projects of all sizes.
As G&H Fencing approaches its 40th anniversary in 2027, the family business continues to evolve and expand, building on the foundations established by Gary and Sharon. The business is now led by brothers Ryan and Jake Hodson, who bring their combined experience and knowledge to the next chapter of G&H.
Alongside our established fencing services, the business has expanded into professional tree surgery, bringing together the expertise of G&H Fencing with Jake’s established tree surgery operation to create G&H Fencing & Tree Surgery Ltd.

Our tree surgery team is fully qualified, City & Guilds accredited, and experienced in safely managing trees of any size.
Who we work with
Around 80–85% of our work is for commercial and industrial clients — including factory perimeter fencing and sports/ball court fencing — with domestic fencing projects making up the remaining 15–20%. We’re proud to count McDermott Building and Civil Engineering, based in Birmingham, among our long-standing commercial partners, alongside many other returning customers across the region.
We operate three fencing teams of two across the Midlands, supported by two office staff handling admin, quotes and scheduling, so jobs are delivered efficiently whether you need a single domestic gate or a large-scale industrial fencing contract.
