Description:
The challenging location required detailed planning and a specialist approach to ensure the works could be completed safely while minimising disturbance to the surrounding woodland, lake and wildlife habitat.
A site-specific Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) was prepared prior to works commencing, covering access, working adjacent to and over water, tree condition, equipment, exclusion zones, emergency procedures and the safe removal of timber and arisings.
The tree was carefully sectionally dismantled under controlled conditions, with each section managed to prevent uncontrolled movement and minimise the risk of material entering the lake. The works were carried out by our experienced arboricultural team with appropriate site controls and safety measures maintained throughout.
The project showcased G&H’s experience in delivering specialist tree surgery and tree removal in challenging environments, combining professional arboricultural expertise, robust health and safety procedures and consideration for the surrounding environment.
